'It's one of those moments to remember'

Aaron Ramsey hit a couple of major milestones on Saturday.

His hat-trick was his first in an Arsenal shirt. And his second goal took him to 100 goals or assists for the club.

It was hard to outshine Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan on their full debuts but Ramsey could not have done more. Here’s what he said after the game:

on the performance…

Obviously I’m delighted. It’s my first hat-trick, so it’s one of those moments to remember. Full credit to the team, we played some really good attacking football and the game was won in the first half really. We’ve got to keep that focus, keep that quality throughout the rest of the season now.

on Auba being quite scary when he’s actually at 100 per cent…

Of course, if that’s not him at 100 per cent then we’ve got a player on our hands. Well done to him for scoring on his debut and to Micki as well for getting a few assists. Hopefully there’s a lot more to come and they can help us push to finish off the season strongly.

on bouncing back from Swansea…

Against Swansea it simply wasn’t good enough and we needed to respond to that. You could tell from the first half that everyone was at it, and when we are at it we’re a quality team. We won the game in the first half really.

on his hat-trick…

It’s one I’m going to remember because it’s my first hat-trick and obviously I’m delighted. I’m happier with the three points.

on what it feels like to score a Premier League hat-trick…

I took my time coming off the pitch because I know it won’t happen too often. I was just happy that I could help my team-mates today by contributing with a few goals. I’m just buzzing.

on what sort of impact Henrikh and Pierre have had…

They’ve brought quality into this team. We all know how they linked up at Dortmund and you could see that their understanding tonight was brilliant. It was a great goal by Auba and Micki came up with a few assists as well. It’s a sign of things to come and we’re really excited to have them here. Hopefully they can kick on.

on whether the north London derby is the perfect stage to replicate home form…

Of course. In front of our home fans we’ve been absolutely brilliant. I think we’ve only slipped up once against United, even though we played very well on the day. We’ve got to improve away from home, simple as that. Hopefully we can replicate what we did today against Spurs on Saturday.
