Internationals: Partey scores winner for Ghana

The international break came to an end on Tuesday, with a host of our players in action. Here's how they got on:

Thomas Partey scored the decisive goal as Ghana secured a crucial win in Zimbabwe.

Our midfielder - who was also on target when the sides met on Saturday - powered home a 31st-minute free-kick to give the Black Stars all three points.

Meanwhile in the Faroe Islands, Kieran Tierney started and played the full 90 minutes to help Scotland take another step towards securing a World Cup play-off spot. Steve Clarke’s side were frustrated by their hosts until Lyndon Dykes bundled in from close range four minutes before the end.

Bukayo Saka came off the bench in England’s 1-1 draw against Hungary at Wembley. Roland Sallai gave the visitors a surprise first-half lead before John Stones equalised just before half-time. Bukayo replaced Jack Grealish just after the hour.

Takehiro Tomiyasu played the duration of Japan’s important win over Australia. Ajdin Hrustic’s second-half leveller cancelled out Ao Tanaka’s early strike - but Aziz Behich’s late own goal handed Hajime Moriyasu’s side a vital victory.

Sead Kolasinac was substituted in second-half stoppage time as Bosnia and Herzegovina drew in Ukraine. Anel Ahmedhodzic equalised for the visitors late on, after Andriy Yarmolenko had given the home team a 15th-minute lead.

Nuno Tavares was part of the Portugal Under-21s defence that kept a clean sheet in Iceland. Fabio Vieira scored the only goal 10 minutes after the restart.
