Yesterday, Takehiro Tomiyasu played 76 minutes at centre-back as Japan won 5-0 away to Syria in the World Cup 26 qualifiers, making it two wins from two in Group B.
Gunners trio Gabriel, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus were all involved in Brazil’s 1-0 defeat at home to Argentina in the World Cup qualifiers.
Gabriel played 72 minutes, Martinelli played 78 minutes and Jesus got the full 90 as Brazil fell to sixth in their qualifying group.
In the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers, William Saliba played 90 minutes of France’s 2-2 draw away to Greece. France finished Group B with 22 points from eight games, comfortably qualifying for the Euros.
Jakub Kiwior got 90 minutes in Poland’s 2-0 friendly win at home to Latvia, keeping a clean sheet in the process.
Germany were also in friendly action, losing 2-0 away to Austria as Kai Havertz played 77 minutes of the game.
