We were delighted to work with FUSE Soccer to deliver Arsenal Football Development experiences to Japanese and American groups over the Easter holiday period.
The large groups of young Arsenal fans embraced the “Strong Young Gunner” (SYG) philosophy with open arms as they were trained in the 4 distinct SYG development areas: effective team players, efficient movers, lifelong learners and champion mentality. Our Strong Young Gunner model is used throughout the club to develop young people and players. We believe it leads to holistic development and ensures young people develop life skills as well as football skills.
The FUSE experience consisted of:
- Authentic Arsenal Football Development training sessions.
- A small-sided tournament in the Arsenal Hub where Gunnersaurus made a guest appearance!
- An Emirates Stadium tour.
- Exhibition matches against local opposition to test their skill levels.
- An international match at Wembley.
- A tour of London visiting famous landmarks.
Players in both groups stayed at the Worth School campus in Sussex while receiving a full week of curated Arsenal Football Development training programs delivered by the Arsenal Football coaches. Amongst all of the hard work put in on the pitch, the Japanese and American groups also raved about their invaluable experiences off of the pitch.
FUSE Soccer remains actively delivering curated experiences again in Florida this coming summer alongside delivering its experience in Japan. FUSE will continue to provide more localised opportunities for international players and fans alike going forward.
