Freya Godfrey has been named on the final shortlist for the 2024 Golden Girl award.
The prize, founded in 2022 by Italian newspaper Tuttosport, is awarded to the best under-21 female footballer playing in a European league.
Godfrey, who joined our academy at just 12 years old, has broken into the first-team squad this season after making her senior debut against Brighton & Hove Albion in 2023. She has also represented England across youth level, most recently at the Under-19s UEFA European Championship.
Real Madrid's Linda Caciedo and Wolfsburg's Jule Brand are the only previous Golden Girl winners.
