Foord reflects on impressive victory over Juventus

Caitlin Foord added yet another goal and assist to her season's tally in a 4-0 win over Juventus.

Our Aussie winger reflected on our Champions League victory, our forwards' collective form and the upcoming north London derby.

Here's everything she had to say:

on the result...

Yeah, a massive win. I felt good. I think it was an intense game, but for us to put our chances away and obviously make the lead a little bit more and a little bit more as the game went on is a nice feeling, obviously. Going off the momentum in the league and to carry it on over here, it's a real positive for the team.

on our free-flowing attacking football...

Yeah, I think us as forwards, we just want to create and get on the ball. I think for tonight, they were very man-for-man marking and that creates a lot of space for each other. It was just about making movements and making space for each other. As an attacker, if they want to go 1v1, I think we'll take that any day. It was fun tonight.

on her electric start to the season...

Yeah, I'm just trying to do my part for the team. If that's to get on the score sheet or an assist, then I'm happy. That's obviously part of my job. I just want to keep building off that confidence and momentum throughout the season.

on another big scoreline with many different goalscorers...

It's massive and we know we all have to be at our best to create and score. As you said, different goal scorers in the game as well. It's a real big positive because as forwards, you do build off confidence. I think the more we have, the better it's going to be for the team.

on whether she's had a chance to celebrate her birthday...

As much as we can, travelling and training and playing. A win, I'll take that for a good birthday present.

on the upcoming north London derby

Yes, I think that's the one game I do look forward to every season. I'm excited and I think all the girls will be as well. As I said before, we want to build off this and keep that into the North London derby.
