Please find below the following information regarding Sunday's FA Community Shield.

 

In support of Grenfell

Sunday’s FA Community Shield will be dedicated to all those affected by the tragic events at Grenfell Tower, with The FA – alongside Arsenal, Chelsea and McDonald’s – hoping to raise in the region of £1.25m.  As part of the matchday, over 1,000 members of both the affected community and the three emergency services have been invited to attend the fixture.

 

Team colours

The team colours have been announced for the match, with both teams wearing their traditional home kits. Chelsea in blue, with Arsenal wearing our red-and-white kit.

 

Tickets

We have received an allocation of approximately 29,500 tickets for this match. We have completely sold out and there are no ticket sales on the day. This is an all-ticket match and therefore anyone without tickets should not to travel to Wembley Stadium.

 

Entry into Wembley Stadium

We have been allocated the East end of Wembley Stadium for the match. This is the same end we had for the 2015 and 2017 FA Cup Finals.

 

Access into the stadium is via the following turnstiles:



Level 1 – B, C, F, G

Level 5 – A, D, E

 

Key times for the day:



10am - Ticket office opens (collections only)

11am - Hospitality Doors Open

12pm - Turnstiles will open for entry

2pm - Kick off

3.45pm* - Scheduled match finish



*Please note the match is subject to extra time and penalties. If scores are level at 90 minutes.

 

Safety and Security

There will be enhanced security searches in place for this match and all supporters are encouraged to arrive at Wembley Stadium early to avoid delays.

 

Please also be aware of the following:



Do not bring large bags / rucksacks. All bags will be searched and tagged regardless of size. Where possible try to avoid bringing any bags, and only bring essential items with you.

 

Be aware of prohibited items. A full list of prohibited items can be found here.

 

Musical instruments can be permitted entry to the stadium as long as they are approved by The FA and Wembley in advance of match day meeting guidelines. Any supporters wishing to bring instruments to the match must first notify the club who in turn submit a request to The FA. All non-official instruments will be refused entry. Please note no musical instruments will be permitted on Level 5 of Wembley Stadium or hospitality boxes.

 

Persistent standing is not permitted within the stadium bowl during the match. Wembley Stadium asks all supporters to abide by this rule and respond to the safety instructions from the stewarding team so that all fans have an enjoyable experience.

 

Supporters are advised not to bring food and drink to the stadium. No alcohol can be brought into the stadium. Alcohol can be bought inside the stadium with the following conditions:

  • No alcohol to be taken inside the bowl
  • 4 drinks per person at time of service
  • All drinks will be decanted into plastic cups at service points
  • All soft drinks brought to the stadium will need to be decanted at turnstiles into plastic cups

A number of pubs outside the stadium have been designated ‘Arsenal pubs’ for the final. Supporters wishing to go to a pub before and after the match are encouraged to visit one of the following:

There will also be an external fan zone for Arsenal supporters, called ‘Arena Square’. This is near the Wembley Arena, which is very close to Wembley Stadium itself.

 

 

Getting to Wembley Stadium



The following travel information is a guide to assist supporters in planning their journey to and from Wembley Stadium. This information is correct at the time of compilation. All supporters are encouraged to check with their relevant transport providers before they travel for any updates.

 

Please note Wembley Stadium is a public transport destination and is well catered for with public services, which is the recommended mode of transport to and from the stadium. Below is a list of transport options for supporters:

 

TRAIN AND TUBE



London Underground



1. Wembley Park Tube – 5 mins walk from stadium

(Metropolitan Line direct to Baker Street / Jubilee Line direct to Baker Street and Bond Street)

 

2. Wembley Central Tube – 15 mins walk from stadium

(Bakerloo Line direct to Marylebone, Baker Street and Oxford Circus)

 



London Overground



1. Wembley Stadium Station – 5 mins walk from stadium

(Chiltern Railways direct to London Marylebone)

COACH

BUS



Local buses to Wembley Stadium include 18, 83, 92 and 224.

 

Please note that London buses no longer accept cash, therefore any supporters travelling by bus will need to pay for the fare using an Oyster card or contactless payment card. A single adult fare is £1.45.

CAR



For supporters wishing to drive please note there will be very limited spaces available at the stadium. Therefore we would strongly advise the use of public transport. If parking is required please book well in advance via https://www.wembleyofficialparking.com/ to guarantee your parking space.

 

Blue badge parking is available to purchase via https://www.wembleyofficialparking.com/

 

Please note that local road closures will be in place around the stadium on match day approximately 4 hours prior to kick off, so plan travel accordingly.
