England U-19s top Euro qualifying group

Eddie Nketiah

Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson and Joe Willock were all involved in England Under-19s final European Championship qualifying game in Bulgaria on Tuesday.

The Arsenal trio helped the Three Lions progress to the next round after beating the hosts 1-0 in Stara Zagora.

Borussia Dortmund’s Jason Sancho scored the only goal of the game just 11 minutes in, heading in Reece James’ cross to break the deadlock.

Nketiah played for the opening 59 minutes, before being substituted in place of Willock, while Nelson was an unused substitute.

With the top spot affecting the seeding for December’s Elite Round draw in Nyon, Paul Simpson’s side made it three wins from three to finish ahead of Bulgaria, after victories against the Faroe Islands and Iceland.
