Emirates Stadium to welcome RLWC semi-final

Emirates Stadium before the RLWC semi-final

After their victory over Papua New Guinea last Saturday, England are on their way to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday where they will face a formidable Samoa side who edged out Tonga to secure their own place in the Rugby League World Cup 2021 men’s semi-final.

Originally due to take place last year, the match will decide which team progresses to the World Cup final next week.

Hosting the semi-final of a major global sports event is another example of Emirates Stadium’s growing reputation as a world-class multi-purpose venue in the heart of London.

In June 2023 Arctic Monkeys will play two shows at the stadium as part of their major UK and Ireland tour, just one year after The Killers brought their Imploding the Mirage tour to Emirates Stadium, with two spectacular sold-out events in June 2022.

Coldplay, Bruce Springsteen, Green Day and Kaiser Chiefs are some of the other global acts who have also played at Emirates Stadium since it opened in 2006.
