Jonas Eidevall has revealed that Caitlin Foord and Steph Catley could both be in action against Everton on Wednesday evening.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, our head coach said that both Aussies are "definitely in contention" when it comes to travelling up to Merseyside on Wednesday. A call on their availability will be made following the next training session.
Caitlin Foord returned to the squad last week after a month on the sidelines, featuring as a second-half substitute in our 4-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.
Steph Catley, meanwhile, returned for our sold-out Champions League semi-final against Wolfsburg but was forced off one game later against Leicester. As our squad continues to be beleaguered with injuries, Catley and Foord's involvement in the final three games of the season could prove vital to our hopes of qualifying for Europe.
When asked about other injuries in the squad, Eidevall revealed that our next clash is "one game too soon" for Lina Hurtig to return. However, Gio will be available to face her old club, Everton, after a collision with Brighton defender Zoe Morse forced the Brazilian off prematurely on Wednesday.
