Danielle Carter is set to leave Arsenal Women following the conclusion of her contract.
Danielle joined us from Leyton Orient’s Centre of Excellence in 2009, and since then she’s helped us to five Continental Tyres Cups, four FA Cups and three Women's Super League titles.
Following 11 successful years in north London, she departs us as the longest-serving player in the current squad, having scored 60 goals in 184 appearances.
The England international has been involved in many iconic Arsenal moments throughout the years, including scoring in an FA Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley in 2016, which saw us lift the prestigious trophy for a record 14th time.
Danielle has also made a significant impact off the field and was awarded the PFA Community Champion Award in 2019 to mark her incredible work supporting Arsenal in the Community.
“Danielle has been an amazing professional and character through very difficult times over the past couple of years. She has achieved many accolades as both a footballer and person and I’m sure there are many more to come. We want to wish her all the best for the future.” said head coach, Joe Montemurro.
Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Danielle for her outstanding contribution to the team’s success, and for her exceptional professionalism and commitment to the club.
We wish Danielle the very best for the future.
