Aubameyang - Why this hat-trick means a lot

Arsenal had played the last five games with our talismanic captain and centre forward on the starting teamsheet, but he returned to the side in some style on Sunday, smashing his first ever Premier League hat-trick to claim the matchball.

Personal family issues meant that Auba missed three games in late January, and was then used from the bench in the defeats at Wolves and Aston Villa.
But he was back in the side this weekend, and took his seasonal tally to 11 with three more goals at the Emirates.
He spoke to the media after our 4-2 win, and this is what he said…
On his hat-trick ball…
I'm happy, really happy, and my kids are going to be happy because they are going to get the ball! But yeah, I'm really happy with the performance from the team today. We knew it was going to be a hard game, they never give up. They fought a lot, I think we had good game management at the end and won the game.
On nerves at 4-2…
Maybe not nervy but as I said we managed the game well at the end.
On whether a strong home performance was needed…
Sure, it was important to show that this is our home. This is where we have to win games and we did that.
On the first goal…
Sometimes you have to change the way you shoot and the goalkeeper was expecting me to shoot on his left but I changed.
On the penalty…
We practise penalties a lot at the training ground so I know how to manage the pressure in a game, because we needed that second goal, and that's it.
On what the hat-trick means…
For sure, it means a lot to me. I'm a guy who always works hard and tries to give the best, first for my family, and also for the team as well. It's been a tough time for me but now it's time to get my smile back, to win games and score goals.
On the club's support…
Definitely, from everybody at the club, everyone has given me a lot of love. I'm really proud to be a part of this family, so I have to say thank you to everyone at the club, and the fans as well because I received a lot of messages. I'm really happy and these goals are for them.
