'Auba, Micki and Mesut… they are great players'

Granit Xhaka had the best view in the house as Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang dazzled on their home debuts.

Our Swiss midfielder played just behind the Armenian as he delivered a hat-trick of assists in our thumping 5-1 win over Everton.

And Xhaka says that the new boys’ arrival has lifted the whole dressing room.

“Of course it has,” he told Arsenal.com. “We know with Auba, Micki and Mesut that we have three great players in the team.

“Everything’s gone quiet now so we can focus. We are happy that Mesut’s staying here and we’ve got two great players who have come in. They showed what they can do today, so we’re happy we have them in our team.

“It’s easy to come into our team. Auba showed that today, after one training session [he scored] and Micki did well too.

“We knew we didn’t play well against Swansea and that we had to wake up. We showed that today. The first half was perfect, we could have kept playing like the first half in the second half but sometimes it’s not so easy. We won today and those three points are important.”
