Across the weekend of August 10 and 11, coaches from Arsenal Women FC will be travelling to Dublin, to provide two days of coaching sessions and development workshops for the female players and coaches at Larkview FC.
The aim of the trip is to inspire and develop the girls at Larkview FC, giving them the experience of being coached by some of the coaches from the Arsenal Women Development Programmes. Two coach development workshops will also be delivered for the coaches who work with the female teams at the club.
These workshops will give an insight in to the playing and coaching philosophy at Arsenal Women, as well as giving the coaches the opportunity to plan and design new practices for the season ahead.
“We are really looking forwards to heading over to work with the coaches and players at Larkview FC," said Arsenal Women Development Officer Tom Hartley. "We hope that the trip provides a really memorable experience for every player and coach involved."
Anthony Murphy, who is the girls secretary at Larkview FC, explained that, “the girls at the club are very excited about the visit from the Arsenal Women FC coaches, and can’t wait to take part in the coaching sessions on the Friday and Saturday.”
As a club Larkview FC are always looking to recruit new girls to join their teams, and they hope this experience will attract new players to the club.
