Arsenal v Manchester United: The Brief

Lacazette

After two very differing trips to France in midweek, we lock horns with Manchester United on Sunday in a game that many have been in a rush to define as make or break.

Unai Emery is not so sure - after all, with eight games to go after this weekend, there will still be room for manoeuvre in the race for a top-four place, although the margin for error is shortening by the week.

Certainly our head coach is well aware that a win against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's buoyant side would not only provide us with a boost and put us back above our opponents in the table, but it would also halt the momentum of the Red Devils.

That is easier said than done of course, as evidenced by our Emirates FA Cup defeat to them back in January but, after clocking up eight successive league wins at home, there is cause for optimism.

Alex Lacazette, suspended in midweek, will return to the squad and after scoring in his past five Premier League games at Emirates Stadium, he will be confident of adding to that run.

Read on for our comprehensive preview, including Emery's thoughts on the game, the latest team news, stats, and analysis of the opposition.
