Arsenal Football Development welcome United Futbol Academy (UFA) to London
We were delighted to welcome our Football Development partner club United Futbol Academy who travelled all the way from Atlanta Georgia over the Easter break. More than 70 players and family members travelled to London for our second annual trip.
The trip started with a couple of days of sightseeing around London where they explored famous landmarks such as Big Ben, the London Eye, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral, Buckingham Palace to name a few!
The remainder of the week included four training sessions where players were coached by the Arsenal Football Development coaches. One of these sessions was held at Hale End, the renowned Arsenal academy, where players immersed themselves in a professional academy setup. Three youth matches against top clubs were organised to test our players as well. The players and family members got to chance to see Arsenal beat Luton 2-0 at the Emirates where they also got a front row view of the teams arriving before the match which was an incredible experience. The players and families also went on a stadium tour of The Emirates. The players and families got to feel what it was like to be in the changing room, walk out of the tunnel, and even sit pitch side. They truly got the full Emirates experience!
