We can confirm that Amanda Ilestedt will leave the club when her contract expires at the end of this season.
The 32-year-old Swedish defender joined us from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2023 and made her first Gunners appearance in our 3-0 win over Linkoping in the Women’s Champions League the following September.
Amanda has since gone on to make 23 appearances and score three goals in red and white, helping us to win the League Cup in March 2024.
The Swede was nominated for both the Best FIFA Women’s Player award and the Ballon d’Or in 2023, following a stellar performance at the 2023 Women’s World Cup which saw her score four goals and receive the Bronze Ball award as Sweden finished third.
