adidas and Arsenal are proud to announce the fourth year of No More Red, a joint initiative first launched in 2022 to support and build on 40 years of Arsenal in the Community’s work to help keep young people safe from knife crime and youth violence.
No More Red continues to evolve and grow, with a commitment to support young people through three core focuses: investing in safe spaces to play, providing ongoing opportunities for connection, and championing community role models.
To mark the fourth year of the initiative, adidas and Arsenal have brought together Zakaria Hassan, George Hobden and Amy Scanlon, who have all been recognised for the positive difference they are making in their local community, with first-team players Declan Rice, Miles Lewis-Skelly and Alessia Russo to discuss the impact of No More Red.
Captured in a short film, each conversation explores the importance of having access to trusted role models, and the significance of providing safe spaces for young people to thrive and express their creativity.
The work behind No More Red builds on 40 years of work by Arsenal in the Community and is focused on three key pillars: investing in safe spaces to play football, providing ongoing opportunities for connection and championing community role models.
The kit will never be available to buy and will only ever be awarded to individuals who are making a positive difference in the community.
Freddie Hudson, Head of Arsenal in the Community said: “Knife crime and serious youth violence is incredibly complex. We don’t have the solution to fix the problem, but we know our work with adidas is helping keep young people safe and create opportunities for more positive futures.
“It’s important we continue to invest in safe spaces where we engage young people facing multiple challenges as they navigate their way through their lives. This is where trust is built, and positive relationships develop with our staff.
“Being part of something positive like No More Red creates an important sense of belonging. The safe spaces and trusted relationships lead to connections and opportunities like volunteering, education and employment. Over time, we see young leaders emerge from our projects to inspire and influence other young people to make good life choices.”
adidas said: “We’re incredibly proud to be entering the fourth year of No More Red. It is our ambition that sport be a source of community and well-being for all, and working with Arsenal, our partners and some of the young people doing great things in their community, has been an inspiring experience.
"Together we remain committed to providing safe spaces and a chance for connection and celebration for the role models who are driving real change in their local area.”
Declan Rice added: “There's an immense pride you feel when you pull on the No More Red shirt. Having such a special connection with our supporters in our community gives us a real understanding of the people we're representing and the role we can have as players in raising awareness around issues such as youth crime and violence.
"Their stories give us inspiration which fuels our performances. Our community drives us forward, and we win together.”
