Acronis, a global leader in cyber protection and the club’s official data backup partner, held a pitch event at Emirates Stadium.
More than 200 partners and customers enjoyed a presentation and panel discussion on the importance of modern cyber protection, before taking to the pitch to compete in the Acronis World Cup alongside the legendary Robert Pires.
Acronis founder and chief executive officer Serguei Beloussov joined Arsenal IT director Christelle Heikkila to discuss the importance of protecting data, whilst former players Pires and Paul Dickov explained how data was used during their playing days.
“As football has progressed, we have had to become a lot more scientific in terms of the decisions we make,” explained Heikkila. “Data is vital in this process. It helps us to make informed decisions across important areas of our business, including how to improve player performance.
“That is why we have partnered with Acronis and why we use the data-cloud solution. They store, backup and allow us to easily recover the video data from training sessions that we require to make the correct decisions.”
This is not the first time we have teamed up with Acronis - earlier this year we supported the Acronis Foundation by donating football kits to a new school they were building in Senegal.
