With 17 goals in all competitions, Laca was our top scorer last season, bringing up his half century of Premier League goals in the win over Sheffield United in April 2021.
That moved the French striker into the all-time top ten of goalscorers for us in Premier League history – his first came just 94 seconds into his league debut in 2017.
The Arsenal Player of the Season for 2018/19, Laca is an explosive forward with an excellent work ethic who also likes to bring others into play. Before joining the Gunners for a club record fee, Alex had played all his club football for hometown club Lyon, netting exactly 100 Ligue 1 goals for them.
A penalty specialist, he won the 2010 Under-19 European Championships with Les Bleus, scoring an 85th-minute winner in the final against Spain. .
