Arsenal Under-21s will be looking to continue their 100 per cent start to the season when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday evening.
Steve Gatting’s side have so far beaten Fulham, Derby, West Ham and, most recently, won 2-1 at Newcastle after goals from Alex Iwobi and Stephy Mavididi.
The Gunners currently sit top of the Under-21 Premier League and are the only side not to have dropped points, while their scoring prowess has seen them hit the target 11 times thus far.
It has certainly been a positive start to the new campaign, and at the other end of the pitch their defence has remained strong by conceding just three goals.
The under-21s' winning streak has not gone unnoticed, with Matt Macey and Alex Iwobi rewarded for their fine form with call-ups to the first-team squad for their Capital One Cup victory against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.
It will not only provide a boost for both players, but also inspire the rest of Gatting’s squad as they return to action on Friday evening at Telford United FC.
