Important travel information – Liverpool

Emirates Stadium

Arsenal would like to make supporters aware of travel issues around our Premier League match against Liverpool on Monday, August 24.

Underground services
Due to planned engineering work there will be no Victoria line service between Walthamstow Central and Seven Sisters on the matchday. Reduced services will be operating on the rest of the line, including to and from Euston, King’s Cross St. Pancras, Highbury & Islington and Finsbury Park stations.

Other lines will also be busier as customers take alternative routes, including the Piccadilly line between King’s Cross and Arsenal / Finsbury Park.

Supporters are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and, where possible, to avoid travelling during the busiest part of the evening peak (17:30 – 18:30).

Highbury & Islington
Access to Highbury and Islington station will be significantly reduced on the matchday.

Although it will be open, construction work means that entry to the station will be slow, and supporters are encouraged to consider alternative travel routes.

Fans walking to the stadium should also note that the construction work at the station will restrict the walking route between Upper Street and Holloway Road. Pedestrians will need to cross the Highbury Corner roundabout or use Liverpool Road to travel between Upper Street and Holloway Road.
