Arsenal Ladies are through to the Champions League Semi-Finals after drawing 2-2 with Linkoping on Wednesday and progressing on away goals.
Laura Harvey’s team twice came from behind in Sweden thanks to Rachel Yankey and a late Katie Chapman strike to book a glamour tie against French side Lyon.
The Quarter-Final was finely poised after Ellen White’s stunning half volley cancelled out Linda Sällström’s first-half opener at Boreham Wood in the first leg last Thursday.
Sällström was again Arsenal’s scourge when she put Linkoping ahead after just 16 minutes in Kopparvallen.
Rachel Yankey equalised five minutes before half time to regain parity, on the night and in the tie, but Kosovare Asllani restored the Swede’s advantage in the 57th minute.
Arsenal were heading out of the competition until Chapman, the saviour against Rayo Vallecano in the last round, popped up 11 minutes from time to book the Gunners a Semi-Final spot.
