A 1-1 midweek draw at Blackburn Rovers has left leaders Arsenal with work to do to claim a seventh straight Women's Premier League title.

Third-placed Everton, who on Monday beat Arsenal in the FA Cup final, drew 1-1 at Leeds Carnegie.

The results mean Everton are eight points behind with three games left.

The two sides meet on Sunday and Everton will be looking to keep the title race open.

Arsenal had the better of the possession from the early stages but took until 15 minutes into the second half to take the lead.

A break along the left flank ended with Kim Little pulling the ball back for Corinne Yorston to drive an 18-yard shot into the net.

Rovers levelled the scores 10 minutes later, Danielle Sheen meeting a Linda Shepherd cross to score with a 12-yard volley.

As Arsenal went all out for a winner Rachel Yankey had a goal-bound effort turned on to the bar by keeper Danielle Hill.

But on the home ground of their Premiership parent club, Rovers held out for a deserved share of the points.

It was only the second game that Arsenal haven't taken maximum points from a game in the league this season.
