Arsenal Ladies strolled into the Fifth Round of the FA Women's Cup after getting the better of their battling opponents, Colchester United.
Vic Akers' side stayed on course for a domestic 'treble' thanks to a hat-trick from young striker Kim Little, a brace from Katie Chapman and further strikes from new signings Laura Bassett and Helen Lander.
Arsenal took a while to get going as a hard-working Colchester side denied them space. The holders looked slightly rusty after a month without a game but they finally broke through eight minutes before the break. Chapman was the scorer and she helped herself to a second before half-time after a defence-splitting through-ball from Little.
The young striker got in on the act herself after the restart, netting a hat-trick as Colchester struggled to contain their hosts. With Arsenal dominating, new recruits Bassett and Lander both opened their accounts for Akers' team.
