Arsenal’s second away trip in succession saw a short trip to Sun Postal against Watford Ladies.
The game started at a good tempo with both teams showing a high pressing strategy. The breakthrough came from Arsenal with good work from Danielle Carter who crossed for Ashleigh Goddard to tap home the first.
Arsenal went into half time 1-0 up but knowing Watford were not going to let the game pass by.
The home side equalised just after half time from some good build up play.
Arsenal then scored two quick goals from Becky Anderson & Danielle Carter and then looked to be comfortable.
But a hard working Watford were not finished and brought the game back to 3-3 with 5 minutes remaining. Arsenal now had to dig deep and with some good individual work from Carter, created a great scoring chance but was brought down in the box.
Carter stepped up with the last kick off the game smashed her penalty into the top of the net for Arsenal to take all 3 points and win 4-3.
