Arsenal Under-18s dropped their first points of the season as
they were held to a 2-2 draw at Charlton Athletic on Saturday.
Defender Jay Emmanuel-Thomas notched Arsenal's first on
50 minutes to open his scoring account for the
campaign. Portuguese striker Rui Fonte then got his first of the
season to ensure a point with 10 minutes remaining.
Steve Bould's side were without Fran Merida, Henri
Lansbury, Rhys Murphy and Gavin Hoyte, all of whom
are starring at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Korea.
Having beaten Chelsea 3-1 in their
opening fixture, the Under-18s remain unbeaten this
season. Their next match is against Aston Villa, at Shenley, on
Saturday.
