Ladies to host free football festival

Arsenal Ladies in the Community

Arsenal Ladies and Arsenal Soccer Schools are holding a joint coaching skills workshop at Boreham Wood FC on Sunday, September 8.

The free session, which will welcome boys and girls aged from 6-12, will run form 11.30am-1.30pm.

Along with being put through their paces by trained Arsenal Soccer School coaches, youngsters will get the chance to chat with some of the Ladies' top names, who will be on hand to greet everyone and oversee the session.

All attendees will be given free tickets to the Ladies' match that afternoon against Bristol Academy (if accompanied by a paying grown up) and will also be in with a chance of winning a host of top Arsenal prizes, including tickets to a men’s game at Emirates Stadium.

Plan for the day:
11.30am - Warm Up & Reaction Games
11.45am - Skills Workshop
12.45pm - Tournament & Matches
1.30pm - Coaching Finishes
2pm - Arsenal Ladies v Bristol Academy kicks off - All children attending the match must be accompanied by a paying Adult. Entry for Adults is payable on the gate.

Coaches:
Players will take part in coaching delivered by FA and UEFA trained coaches.
All our coaches have attended a child protection workshop, are first aid trained, and hold an up to date CRB.

What to bring:
Football boots/moulded boots and trainers
Shin pads (which must be worn at all times during play)
Light-weight waterproof jacket
Plenty to drink (still drinks only)
Warm Clothes/Sun protection (i.e. lotion and cap)
Any medication you require (i.e. Asthma inhaler)
