Arsenal were knocked out of the Capital One Cup after a 2-0 defeat to London rivals Chelsea at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday.
Cesar Azpilicueta gave the Blues the lead in the 26th minute before Juan Mata completed the scoring midway through the second half.
