William Stewart never featured in the league during his four-year spell at Arsenal.
He did, however, make 58 senior and 37 reserve appearances for Royal Arsenal between 1889-90 and 1892-93.
Stewart worked at the Royal Ordnance factory as a machinist and joined the Club in October 1889.
He made his first-class debut in an FA Cup qualifier against Swifts in December that year, before featuring in the main competition as the Gunners were knocked out by Derby.
He left in 1893 and later played for Royal Ordnance FC.
