Robert Watson may be best remembered for scoring seven goals for Woolwich Arsenal against a Parisian XI at Plumstead in December 1904.
Signed from his hometown club Middlesbrough in June 1903, the inside forward eventually went on to make 10 senior appearances for the Club.
The first of those was a 2-1 reverse against Bolton in November 1903 and he finished his Arsenal career against Blackburn Rovers in February the following year.
Watson later transferred to Leeds City in July 1905.
