Ray Parkin played 28 times in just under eight years at Arsenal.
The inside forward joined from Esh Winning in February 1928 before making his league debut against Sunderland in January 1929.
Parkin, an England schoolboy international, scored 11 goals but found first-team football difficult to come by and joined Middlesbrough for £2,500 in January 1936.
He had been a regular in the Football Combination league with 232 appearances to his name and won championship honours five times between 1929 and 1935.
Parkin later played for Southampton.
