Peter Mortimer transferred to Arsenal from Leith Athletic in 1894.
The Scottish forward made his debut away at Lincoln City in September of that year and made 48 league apperances in his two-year spell at the Club, scoring 23 goals at an average of just over a goal every two games.
Mortimer joined Chatham in the summer of 1896.
