Percy Sands was an Arsenal stalwart at the start of the 20th century.
The centre back made 350 appearances in a 12-year spell with the Club after joining as an amateur in December 1902. He signed professional forms eight months later and made his senior debut against Blackpool in September 1903.
Sands, who combined his professional career with a second job as a schoolmaster, made his final league appearance for the Gunners in a comfortable 7-0 win over Nottingham Forest in 1915, before serving as a sergeant in the RAMC during World War One.
He eventually transferred to Southend United in summer 1919.
