John McClelland

Northern Irish goalkeeper John McClelland joined Arsenal from Glenavon for a fee of £7,000 in October 1960.

He made his league debut in a north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur in 1961 and went on to make 49 senior appearances as a Gunner, during which time he earned five international caps with Northern Ireland.

McClelland left to join Fulham on Boxing Day 1964 and went on to represent Lincoln City and Barnet before retiring.

McClelland died aged 35 in 1976.
