Joe Williams joined Arsenal for £1,500 from Stoke City in September 1929.
The winger went on to make 26 starts in his three years at Highbury, scoring five goals along the way.
The first of those competitive appearances was in a 5-2 defeat at Aston Villa in September 1929.
Williams missed out on the team's 1930 FA Cup triumph through injury but he achieved London Combination honours in both the 1929/30 and 1930/31 seasons, as well as the London FA Challenge Cup in 1930/31.
He eventually moved to Middlesbrough for £1,750 in March 1932, going on to win club honours with Huddersfield Town and achieving England recognition with Stoke City.
