Jimmy Dunne spent almost three years with Arsenal in the 1930s.
The centre forward joined from Sheffield United for £8,250 in September 1933 with a big reputation after spells with Shamrock Rovers and New Brighton.
In the 1930/31 season he scored 41 league goals for Sheffield United - that remains the most scored by an Irishman during a single English season.
Dunne won three caps for the Republic of Ireland during his Highbury spell after making his debut in a 6-0 win over Middlesbrough in September that year.
He scored nine times in 23 appearances as Arsenal won the First Division title in 1933/34 - but the arrival of one man changed everything.
Despite being one of the best strikers in the league, Dunne played only twice in the next two seasons thanks to the arrival of legendary striker Ted Drake.
With first-team football limited, Dunne joined Southampton for £2,000 in July 1936. After one season on the south coast he returned to Shamrock Rovers, first as a player and then a coach.
