James Shaw found himself on the fringes of the first team during his four years at Arsenal.
The inside forward joined from Frickley Athletic for £100 in April 1926 after an injury-hit spell with Bolton Wanderers.
Shaw would not make his league debut for almost a year, however, featuring against West Ham in March 1927.
He was prolific for the reserves, scoring 57 times in 92 appearances in the Football Combination League.
Shaw scored four times in his 11 first-team appearances at Highbury before being transferred to Brentford in May 1930.
