John Vance Milne, also known as Jackie, joined Arsenal from Blackburn Rovers for a fee of £5,000 in June 1935.
The wing-forward made his home debut in a league game at home to Sunderland in August of that year and went on to play more than 50 times for the Club, scoring 19 goals.
Milne moved north to sign for Middlesbrough at the end of 1937 but had to retire during the war.
