Gilberto Silva

Brazilian international midfielder Gilberto starred in Arsenal's record-breaking 2003/04 Premiership title triumph.

Previously with Atletico Mineiro, he was a member of Brazil's 2002 World Cup winning squad and joined Arsenal in August 2002.

Scoring on his debut to clinch victory in the FA Charity Shield, he netted the fastest Champions League goal at PSV Eindhoven in September 2002.

He featured in Arsenal's 2003 FA Cup final success and scored in the 2004 FA Community Shield triumph.

Returning from injury, he helped win the FA Cup again in 2005 and played in the 2006 Champions League final. (With thanks to Leigh Edwards)
