George Hunt became the first ever player to move to Arsenal from north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur when George Allison signed him for £7,500.
A striker, Hunt had been prolific during his time at Spurs, scoring more than 100 goals for the club and making his England debut before joining Arsenal in 1937.
Hunt played 18 times for Arsenal, scoring three goals and helping the team to the Division One championship in the 1937/38 season. He moved to Bolton Wanderers for a fee of £4,000 in March 1938 and went on to play for Sheffield Wednesday.
After hanging up his boots, Hunt returned to Bolton as a coach.
