Charlie Hare joined Woolwich Arsenal from Aston Villa in February 1895 after helping the West Midlands side win the 1893/94 First Division title.
The tricky inside forward, who also played at full back on occasion, made his debut in a 3-3 draw against Leicester Fosse in March 1895 and spent one-and-a-half seasons with the Club.
Hare scored seven times in 20 senior appearances before joining Small Heath in November 1896.
Later with Watford and Plymouth Argyle, he served with the Warwickshire Yeomanry in South Africa during the Boer War.
