Robert (Bob) Gordon scored on his debut for Woolwich Arsenal on the opening day of the 1895/96 season.
The Scottish centre forward joined the Club from Leicester Fosse during the summer of 1895 and opened his scoring account against Grimsby on his first league appearance.
Gordon went on to score six times in 20 appearances during that season before leaving to join Reading in 1896.
