Alf Haynes joined Arsenal from Oxford City in May 1928 but had to wait a year and a half before making his senior debut, away at Liverpool.
In his five-year spell at the Club, Haynes made 34 senior appearances and was part of the team that won the FA Charity Shield in 1931/12.
Haynes left to sign for Crystal Palace for a fee of £2,500 in November 1933 and stayed at the south London club until 1936.
