WHAT HAPPENED
Vlad Dragomir scored a late consolation as we slipped to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Leicester City on Monday night.
Victory would’ve seen us move to the top of the Premier League 2 table, but Josh Gordon’s goal after just nine minutes saw us facing an uphill battle.
The challenge before us only grew when Josh Eppiah doubled the hosts’ advantage after just 22 minutes.
We went in trailing 2-0 at the break, but within 15 minutes of the restart the Foxes had added a third goal, with Harvey Barnes getting on the scoresheet.
Tyreece John-Jules was then shown a red card.
Dragomir pulled a goal back with six minutes of normal time remaining, but it was too late for us to salvage enough from the game.
WHAT IT MEANS
We’ve now dropped to third in the PL2 table, with Leicester rising above us to occupy second spot.
We remain one point behind league leaders Liverpool, but we no longer have a game in hand.
WHAT'S NEXT
We return to PL2 action on Friday, March 2. We’ll be facing Chelsea at Meadow Park.
Kick-off will be at 7.05pm (UK time).
