Our under-18s saw their 13-game unbeaten run come to an end at the semi-final stage of the Premier League cup as they were beaten 4-1 by Tottenham on Saturday.

We took the lead after just three minutes when a beautifully-weighted pass from Jordan McEneff split the hosts’ defence open, allowing Folarin Balogun to calmly slot home.

Tottenham pulled level 15 minutes later, with Paris Maghoma managing to sneak a header past Joao Virginia at the far post.

The combination for our first goal almost yielded a second, but Balogun was denied by a sprawling save after being slotted in once more by McEneff.

After the restart the hosts put themselves in front when Reo Griffiths sent a powerful header past Virginia.

Bukayo Saka hit the crossbar with a vicious strike after leaving an opponent on the ground with a Cruyff turn, but it wasn’t to be for Kwame Ampadu’s charges.

Griffiths then turned home a third goal for the hosts with a close range tap-in, before completing his hat-trick in the 90th minute.
