WHAT HAPPENED
Eddie Nketiah grabbed both goals as we maintained our impeccable record in the United States this summer.
Our third win from three games - two in the International Champions Cup - came courtesy of two predictably predatory finishes from the 20-year-old, and a late goal from Joe Willock.
Nketiah's first owed much to Sead Kolasinac's burst and cross from the left, but there was still a fair bit to do when the striker collected the ball. A clever dummy took his marker out of the game and a low finish did the rest.
Nketiah got his second from even closer range, tucking away a pass from Alex Lacazette following good work from Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Emi Martinez made a clutch of timely saves to keep Fiorentina at bay in a pretty even contest, and the heat and humidity of Charlotte stifled some of the energy we saw in Los Angeles.
But Willock got forward to add a late third to delight another passionate American crowd.
