A cultured and technically gifted midfielder, last season was ruined for Gedion by an injury suffered in the 2017 Under-20 World Cup.
The Berlin-born playmaker’s last taste of club football came in April 2017, while he was playing for Dutch side VVV Venlo. The season prior to that, he enjoyed a successful loan with Glasgow Rangers, winning the Championship.
In January 2014 Gedion became the youngest Arsenal player in FA Cup history, aged 16 years and 363 days. Though born in Germany, Gedion represents USA at international level.
