Powerfully-built goalkeeper Alex joined at the beginning of the 2016/17 season, shortly after his 17th immediately signing a professional deal with the club.
Alex grew up playing for Crystal Palace and also lists Bromley among his former clubs. Having represented Scotland at youth level, Alex competed alongside Joao Virginia at under-18 level last season.
He made seven appearances for the academy side during his debut campaign with the Gunners.
