Arsène Wenger
Wenger - Our hard work starts here
By Nick Teale
Arsène Wenger says Arsenal's hard work starts today as the Gunners step up their pre-season training by travelling to Austria for a ten-day training camp.
The manager wants his side to improve on last season but says it will be an even tougher job now that Manchester City have joined the Premier League's list of top sides.
"We finished third last season, so we of course try to improve," he said after Saturday's win over Barnet.
"Manchester City have now joined in on the big targets, so it will be hard.
"We have six players coming back to join us on Monday when we go to Austria, and then the hard work starts.
"We have some tougher challenges coming up, especially in the Emirates Cup, so those games will give the new signings an opportunity to adapt, but we have to give them some time."
